અંતર્ગત "શાળા સ્વચ્છતા એક્શન પ્લાન" તૈયાર કરવા બાબત.
કોરોના મહામારી બાદ શાળાઓ જયારે ફરીથી શરુ થઇ રહી છે ત્યારે હવે સરકાર સ્વચ્છતાની બાબતમાં થોડું પણ નબળું ચલાવી લેવા માંગતી નથી. આથી સૌ પ્રથમ સરકાર દ્વારા શાળાને ફાળવવામાં આવતી વન ટાઈમ ગ્રાન્ટ માંથી 10 % રકમ ફરજીયાત સ્વચ્છતા અને બાળકોના સેનીટાઈઝેશન પાછળ ખર્ચ થાય તેવો પરિપત્ર તો કરી જ ચુકી છે. આ ઉપરાંત પણ હાલમાં ગુજરાત શાળા શિક્ષણ પરિષદ, સ્ટેટ પ્રોજેક્ટ ડાયરેક્ટરશ્રીની કચેરી, સમગ્ર શિક્ષા, સેક્ટર -17, ગાંધીનગર દ્વારા Wash In School અંતર્ગત "શાળા સ્વચ્છતા એક્શન પ્લાન" તૈયાર કરવા બાબતનો પરિપત્ર કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

ગુજરાત શાળા શિક્ષણ પરિષદ, સ્ટેટ પ્રોજેક્ટ ડાયરેક્ટરશ્રીની કચેરી, સમગ્ર શિક્ષા, સેક્ટર -17, ગાંધીનગર દ્વારા Wash In School અંતર્ગત "શાળા સ્વચ્છતા એક્શન પ્લાન" તૈયાર કરવા બાબતનો પરિપત્ર મુજબ
શાળા સ્વચ્છતા ગુણાંક (એસ.એસ.જી.) એપ્લીકેશનના માધ્યમથી મોટાભાગની શાળાઓ પાસે સ્તર રેટિંગ સાથે એકત્ર થયેલ Wash સંલગ્ન બાબતોની અદ્યતન માહિતી ઉપલબ્ધ છે. તેથી, તમામ શાળાઓને તેમનો શાળા સ્વચ્છતા એક્શન પ્લાન તૈયાર કરી એસ.એમ.સી. ની માન્યતા મેળવી ઉપલબ્ધ ભંડોળણો નિયમોને આધીન વિવેકપૂર્ણ ઉપયોગ કરવા જણાવવામાં આવે છે.

યુનિસેફ - ગુજરાતના સહયોગથી તા. 29-12-2020 ના રોજ રાજ્યના તમામ બીઆરસી / યુઆરસી કો. ઓ. ને શાળા સ્વચ્છતા એક્શન પ્લાન અંગે માર્ગદર્શન આપવામાં આવેલ છે. Wash પ્રોગ્રામના અસરકારક અમલીકરણ માટે દરેક શાળાએ સમયાંતરે પોતાના સ્તર રેટિંગ પર દયાન રાખીને તેમાં સુધારો લાવવા પ્રયત્નો કરવા જોઈએ.
રાજ્યની તમામ શાળાઓને ઉપલબ્ધ ભંડોળ અને અન્ય નાણાકીય સ્ત્રોતને ધ્યાને લઇ 'શાળા સ્વચ્છતા એક્શન પ્લાન' તૈયાર કરવા જણાવવામાં આવે છે.
આ સાથે સામેલ પત્રકને ધ્યાને લઇ તાલુકા કક્ષાએ બીઆરસી કો ઓર્ડીનેટર એ એકંદર એક્શનપ્લાન અને તાલુકાના પત્રક આધારે જીલ્લા કક્ષાનો WASH એક્શન પ્લાન તૈયાર કરવાનો રહેશે. શાળાઓ દ્વારા તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલ શાળા સ્વચ્છતા પ્લાન, બીઆરસી કક્ષાએ બીઆરસી કો ઓર્ડીનેટર દ્વારા તેમજ જીલ્લા દ્વારા તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલ એકંદર માહિતી મદદનીશ જીલ્લા કો.ઓ. કયું.ઈ.એમ. મારફતે જીલ્લા એમ.આઈ.એસ. કો. ઓ. દ્વારા https://cutt.ly/tj4b509 પર તા. 01/03/2021 સુધીમાં અપલોડ કરવાની રહેશે. જેથી અત્રેની કચેરી દ્વારા જરૂરિયાત અનુસાર મોનીટરીંગ થઇ શકે અને જરૂર જણાય ત્યાં યોગ્ય માર્ગદર્શનઆપી શકાય.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene in Schools
Access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is essential for children in schools, particularly for girls as well as children with disabilities. Contaminated water, poor sanitation or unhealthy hygiene behaviours increases the risk of contracting diarrhoeal and other WASH-related diseases, making it more difficult for children to stay in school and become empowered through education. This is an even greater challenge for girls – especially girls who are menstruating – as they often face more barriers to enrol, stay in school, learn and perform. When proper sanitation is available, 11% more girls attend school .

This includes improved water that is piped on-premises, equitable access to toilets, and facilities for menstrual hygiene, which are critical to the health and education of children.
